In a partnership with Edmond Public Schools (EPS), Stacy Group and Lippert Brothers we are 11 months into the construction of EPS’s newest elementary school , Red Bud Elementary. This is the first school for the district east of I-35 in what was once part of the town of Arcadia and their school district. The project is located on the southeast corner of N. Douglas Boulevard and E. Coffee Creek Rd and will serve the growing East Edmond Residence’s. The 49+ acre site was a grading challenge with 77 foot of fall diagonally from the SE to NW, 5.7 acres of flood plain, a building area with ADA access considerations encompassed 6 acres, paving in excess of 5 acres and a site requirement of .5 acres for detention. The site is all rough graded now, the paving is approximately 70% complete and building is about 35% complete. In the end this is going to be one of Edmonds most inviting and picturesque schools. As everyone in the design and construction industry knows a good team can take what looks like an impossible challenge and turn a project into an award winning project.
