Project DescriptionThe project included full service design, engineering, bidding, and construction management for a 3.69 mile rural collector providing 360 degree access to the Bottle Hollow Reservoir and surrounding recreational area. The road crossed the reservoir dam and also provides the main access to the Tribal Administration Facilities of State Route 40. The existing two lane road was in poor condition with surface and foundation failure evident, no designed drainage features, and a low safety rating. The project resulted in a safe, well-designed widened two lane road with improved vertical and horizontal alignments, safety features including guardrail and a designated pedestrian trail, and an all weather designed asphalt paved surface. RPP assisted the Tribe through all aspects of the federally funded project including fund allocation/programming, contract management, full NEPA compliance, through to project closeout. The project took approximately 3 years to fund and complete. |
