Project DescriptionRed Plains is working to complete the Transportation Safety Plan for the Puyallup Tribe. The project included the site investigation and roadway safety analysis of emphasis areas the Tribe identified during the project orientation meeting. In addition we worked closely with the transportation stakeholders to develop safety recommendation projects ranging the 4 E’s: Engineering, Education, Enforcement, and Emergency Response. This was a very unique multi-jurisdictional Safety Plan which incorporated safety analysis and recommendations for I-5 and urban areas in the city of Puyallup, Fife, Edgewood, Walker, and Tacoma. Many of the transportation facilities required jointly funded projects and safety initiatives that crossed over jurisdictional boundaries. |
